QUALITY AND MODERN MANAGEMENT IN LABORATORY SERVICES: TRAINING OF TRAINERS COURSE LAUNCHED

The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in cooperation with SAĞLIK GROUP, has organized a professional development course entitled “Training of Trainers (ToT)” for heads of centralized laboratories.

The course has commenced at the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Oncology and Radiology — Gustave Roussy International Uzbekistan. Our Center is hosting this international educational program.

📅 The five-day program, taking place from October 26 to 30, 2026, brings together 31 heads of centralized laboratories. The course comprises a total of 32 academic hours of theoretical and practical training.

📍 The theoretical and practical sessions on October 26–28 are being held at our Center, while the practical component on October 29–30 will take place at the centralized laboratory of the Tashkent City Medical Consultation and Diagnostic Center.

🎯 The main objective of the program is to train qualified trainers capable of managing pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical processes in clinical biochemistry and medical microbiology laboratories in accordance with international standards, improving quality management systems, and transferring their knowledge to laboratory personnel across the regions.

📚 The course covers the following key areas:

🔹 effective organization of laboratory operations;

🔹 specimen collection, storage, transportation, and traceability;

🔹 internal and external quality control;

🔹 identification of laboratory errors and root cause analysis;

🔹 microbiological quality assurance and biosafety;

🔹 ISO 15189:2022 requirements and quality management;

🔹 LIS–TAMS integration and working with the DMed system;

🔹 training skills, microlearning, and effective feedback techniques.

🌍 The training sessions are delivered by experienced specialists from Türkiye — Professor Dr. Ferruh Kemal İşman and Dr. Kadri Demirel, alongside Uzbek specialists Davron Kholmurodov and Sevinch Jamshetova.

🧩 The educational process goes beyond lectures, incorporating clinical case discussions, group activities, microtraining sessions, and hands-on practice in a centralized laboratory. By the end of the course, participants will develop practical 30–60–90-day action plans for their respective institutions.

🤝 This program aims to improve the quality of laboratory services, introduce unified standards across the regions, and promote the widespread dissemination of acquired knowledge.
