Usmanov Bekzod Baymatovich
A thoracic surgical oncologist who continues to operate alongside his duties as Deputy Director, specialising in cancers of the lung, oesophagus and mediastinum and in minimally invasive thoracoscopic surgery. Doctor of Medical Sciences, docent at Tashkent Medical University, and author or co-author of more than 100 scientific publications.
Egamberdiyev Dilshod Maxmudovich
Trained at Samarkand State Medical Institute, with further training at the National Cancer Center of Korea, Thomas Jefferson and Northwestern Universities in the United States, and the Thomas E. Starzl Transplantation Institute. The only specialist in Uzbekistan to hold grants from both ASCO and the US National Cancer Institute; previously head of the hepato-pancreato-biliary oncology surgery department.
Xurshid Islamov
A colorectal and oncological surgeon who continues in full-time clinical practice alongside his duties as Deputy Director. His work centres on onco-coloproctology — the surgical treatment of colorectal cancer — and on introducing modern minimally invasive surgical techniques.
Xalmurzaev Oybek Avazxanovich
A uro-oncologist and Candidate of Medical Sciences with 25 years of clinical and research experience, specialising in complex, high-technology surgery for tumours of the genitourinary system. He leads the centre's scientific activity as scientific head of the uro-oncology department, trained at the N.N. Blokhin National Cancer Center and Saarland University Hospital (DFG fellow), and is a member of the European Association of Urology (EAU).
